My name is Lauren Weaver, and I am a junior at Garnet Valley High School in Garnet Valley, PA. I have lived in Garnet Valley for all of my life, and don't plan to go further than 2 hours away for college. Right now, I live with my parents and my younger sister, Alexis. I identify myself as a student-athlete, as I am a very hardworking student, as well as an active field hockey player. I have been on the varsity team at Garnet Valley for the past 3 years, and I play club field hockey outside of school for Horizon Field Hockey Club, and spend countless nights and weekends at practices and tournaments. I also enjoy the beach, the summer, and spending time with my friends and family. In school, I am most interested in spanish and science, particularly biology, and and plan to pursue Physical Therapy or a related occupation in the future. I am also involved in Interact Service Club, National Spanish Honor Society, Student Council, and am on the GVHS Mini-THON Leadership Team, which plans an event that raises money to research and fight pediatric cancer. This year, I began a part-time job as a hostess at Texas Roadhouse, and for the past 3 summers, I have been a camp counselor at Westtown Summer Camps. With my busy life, I find that my organizational and time-management skills really come into play and help me get everything done on time and with quality.
